Attention: Submissions will commence from May 2017.

At Citrus Publishers we provide an opportunity like no other. Each year we select 1 or 2 manuscripts for traditional publishing. If you want to be the lucky one then go ahead and submit your work. In order to submit your manuscript to us please read the following information and instructions carefully.

Fiction: 

– Full-length novels:

  • Query letter
  • A detailed synopsis of your book (no more than 1000 words.)
  • First 3 chapters of your completed manuscript (Prologue + 3 chapters if you have one.)
  • Brief author bio (less than 300 words.)

All the documents should be in MS Word File, 12 pt, Courier font, attached in a single email. The email should be sent to submissions@citruspublishers.com

– Short stories:

  • Query letter
  • Story outline (all stories).
  • First 3 stories of your completed manuscript (Prologue + 3 stories if you have one.)
  • Brief author bio (less than 300 words.)

Non-Fiction:

  • Query letter
  • A detailed synopsis of your book (no more than 1000 words.)
  • First 3 chapters of your completed manuscript (Prologue + 3 chapters if you have one.)
  • Brief author bio (less than  300 words.)

All the documents should be in MS Word File, 12 pt, Calibri font, attached in a single email. The email should be sent to submissions@citruspublishers.com

Poetry:

  • Query letter
  • A short summary about your poems (no more than 500 words.) – A general description of what the poems are about.
  • First 3 poems of your completed manuscript
  • Brief author bio (less than  300 words.)

All the documents should be in MS Word File, 12 pt, Calibri font, attached in a single email. The email should be sent to submissions@citruspublishers.com

Please read the following before sending us your query:

We will respond within 3 weeks of your submission. If we like what we read and see potential in your story, you’ll receive an email asking for your complete manuscript. The manuscript should be formatted according to the standard format (mentioned below.)

Once we receive your completed manuscript, we’ll take at least two months to respond.

You are free to submit your proposal simultaneously to us and to others. However, we would request you to inform us of the same. We would also request you to inform us as soon as your manuscript has been accepted for publication by someone else so that we may stop evaluation of your proposal.

Should we ask for your manuscript, please do not submit it to us if you have already submitted it to another publishing house until you have heard from them. Similarly, we would request you not to submit your manuscript elsewhere when it is with us. You are free to ask us to stop evaluation of your manuscript at any stage before we have communicated our decision.

Please do not re-send a manuscript for our consideration that has been rejected once.
